ABOUT ME

Chris Fudge is a Canadian director, cinematographer, and photographer originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia. His debut short film, Ransom (2016), screened at four international film festivals and earned multiple awards, including Best Thriller Short at the Hollywood International Motion Pictures Film Festival in California.

Building on that success, Chris wrote and produced Underneath the Makeup, There's Me (2016), a heartfelt drama about a transgender teenager navigating an identity crisis. The film screened at international human rights festivals in India, the United States, and Ukraine, receiving numerous awards, including honors in Indiana and Arkansas, as well as the LGBT Short Award at the Hollywood International Motion Pictures Film Festival. Chris attended the film's red carpet screening at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood and was later featured in Canadian media, including a live interview on VOCM Radio.

In 2017, his short film Return to Form was officially selected for the Atlantic International Film Festival in Halifax. The following year, Apprehension (2018) was selected for the Short and Sweet Film Festival at the Marilyn Monroe Theatre in Hollywood.

Chris continued his filmmaking journey with Blue and White (2023), a short drama exploring the daily challenges faced by a man living with ADHD, followed by Sorting (2024).

In addition to directing his own films, Chris regularly works as a cinematographer on independent productions. He recently served as Director of Photography on Ricky's Quickies, created as part of the 48 Hour Flick Fest at the Windsor International Film Festival (WIFF), and most recently completed cinematography on the short film Last Chance Pizza, directed by Daniel James Pike.

Now based in Ontario, Chris has completed his latest horror short film, Evil in the House, which has been submitted to numerous film festivals around the world. As a filmmaker, he is passionate about creating emotionally engaging stories across multiple genres, with a particular love for psychological horror and character-driven storytelling. Whether directing or working behind the camera as a cinematographer, Chris is dedicated to crafting compelling visual stories that resonate with audiences.
